- Speakers audible (but the Dolby Sound sticker would be able to save on the sound quality also), volume can not turn up too loud you
- To touch: Original is certainly this new form of operation in which you sometimes just quick tap on the screen and not only has to select the corresponding button with the mouse. However, the exclusive navigate touch screen is hardly possible: One meets the buttons until the 3rd or 4th attempt, despite most exactly calibrated screen (automatic calibration, which can be clicked on the desktop helps because any more than the purely manual Einjustierung. Well, the multi-touch function that allows you to move pictures and enlarge image pages on the 11-inch display or move can. The virtual, on-screen keyboard and handwriting function can replace the real keyboard in any way. This seems more like an alibi, so you can enter in folded display again just (awkward) a URL or fill out a field while surfing.
Conclusion for Touchscreen: Interesting, some certainly useful function, but could be improved.
Disadvantages:
-. In spite of the weight of 1.7 KG No DVD player (Sony creates 1.4kg with a DVD player After connecting an external player (eg from LG here at Amazon for just over 30 pounds) I could easily play more software
- Main drawback is certainly the most universally criticized mirror finish display, relatively unfit for how any work out, because the reflections are simply too strong. The reason for these mirrors display used by many manufacturers and constantly criticized by users is probably in the lower production costs. Might choose device - then gladly also more expensive - It makes sense to offer two versions, so those who like to sometimes use the notebook in the garden or outside in a cafe would. For the interior of the screen is good.
- The Acer recovery feature is not working! That happened to me already with an older Acer model from a different series like this.
- As recently often the case, there is again no recovery DVD for the operating system!
- Completely vulnerable housing, even here as the screen, slightly less mirror surface would be very useful. The enclosed handkerchief will be necessary to constantly use: Even with freshly washed hands you can clearly see every fingerprint on the shiny surface.
- When the notebook is closed, it should be kept in position by a magnet. The magnet is for much too weak; this function works immature.
- Touchpad is too small and has only one button, which - if one can use left right presses - indeed takes over the appropriate function of the left and right, but that's a bit strange, and getting used to (the button itself is unfortunately acting also from rather cheap plastic made).
- It is incomprehensible that there is no integrated UMTS / 3G / Simcard port. The unit is uniquely designed for mobile use, which would have to be of course integrated. In Acer's Product Description This function is listed as "optional", but I have found with 3G, no unit of this series. So the surf stick protruding dangerously far from the unit. Does not have to be.
Conclusion:
With the Sony Acer series is this subnotebook - particularly high - not to compare. The complaints, however, are at a high level. For the (currently still significantly fluctuating) price (in blue, for example, 629-580 here at Amazon) this device is a good choice with the original touch screen function.
