The camera should be set in the settings under "USB settings" on car or PC remote control when it is in storage it is not working. You should also activate the manual focus for most modes.
1. Single: Here you simply makes 1 image. Works, the more one must not say.
2. Multi: Here, you do continuous shooting that works no longer as good as the standard images are quite uneven and sometimes are 2-second pause. But the mode I do not need anyway.
3. Bulb: Super, finally you can use bulb without having to hold the shutter in the camera and one of the fingers dies. Press trigger button once, the camera begins to illuminate and the time increments (super, you know exactly how long the camera already exposed). Press again and the image is in the box.
4. Delay: Here there are two numbers: the right tells you how long the delay until the trigger is, the left tells you how many images are captured. Here again the problem: If you set for example 10 images, 2 or 3 are omitted, probably does not come behind the camera. Here you should be able to set the time between shots.
5. Low: The most important feature for me. First listed above "delay" and to set the delay. One to the right and above is "Long" - here to set the exposure time for each recording a. Yet another further one is in "Intvl" where you set the time between shots. Again to the right and one is at "N", where you can adjust the number of allowances.
Example:
Delay = 5sec
Long = 2min
Intvl = 2sec
N = 100
Now the camera will take after 5 seconds delay 100 shots with an exposure time of 2 minutes each, between which are each 2-second pause. Here it is important that the camera in the "Bulb" - mode. When Sony shutter speed in M mode you turn ever longer ... 25 "... 30" ... BULB. With other cameras, there are for its own mode. This mode actually works perfectly, except that only the rear two digits of the number of remaining trips will be displayed. This has already been said the previous speaker and I can confirm it. This makes me personally anything because if I do something with more than 100 recordings, I plan anyway, how long it takes.
All in all a good cable release with small weaknesses. I give it 4 stars because the most important for me mode works well.
Another thing: If you own a cell phone, which supports OTG (just google) takes you not to buy this part. Holt then you simply an OTG cable and the app "RccDroid" from the play goals, which is cheaper and has more features. Unfortunately, most smartphones have no OTG, including mine.
