HANDS OFF! No long-term suitability !!

I have now used the product for about two months.
Since the Apple Earphones for iPod Shuffle with Remote are extremely sensitive and therefore gone quickly broken against sweat or water (I've even experienced), I opted for this variant.
I have long been researched whether there is a solution to my problem and I finally came to this adapter because it is cheap and there were good reviews for it.
Initially, the product worked well properly, with the restriction that the great innovation of Apple - was lost - namely the remote control to attach directly to the handset, so you could easily control volume and skip to the next or previous song. FACT: The adapter is namely directly on the iPod itself, so far away from the listener, so that it was no longer so easy to use previously mentioned features that are so fundamentally important for this new version of the iPod, the yes only on the Remote is to use.
Overall, therefore, a relatively decent solution to my problem. Well, until now: because the adapter no longer works! I can no longer regulate the volume and no longer change the songs, let alone call another playlist. The iPod can only be switched on and off. On long-term suitability, the developers have not tested this product determined.
So, even prefer to buy the old iPod Shuffle without Remote, which is still offered sporadically and not this adapter.
