Happy Birthday Mozart!

The Mozart Album (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The polemical critique of my "previous speaker" I can not at all connect. I do not regret buying the Mozart album. On the contrary, it is with me for days in use. Just a great compilation, a number more than the other ... and what else than recycling of older recordings in Billo-presentation comes, everything has been re-recorded especially for this purpose here.

The singer squad is top notch: René Pape of the currently best bass at all, an incredibly strong Bryn Terfel can show its humorous and communicative talents at Mozart particularly well. Thomas Quasthoff, more a Song as an opera singer, brings very sophisticated, working with the finest interpretations of the famous humor Registrar and Papageno arias and is a perfect perceptive-seductive Don Giovanni in a duet with Zerlina Anna Netrebko. Absolutely brilliant, the Latvian mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca. Your "Parto, Parto" is the dramatic climax of the CD. Anna Netrebko is no gebohrene Mozart singer, gives this music but with their glutural toned, touching soprano an emotional directness that is heard only rarely. My Mozart is not perfect, but it goes just under the skin! The absolute highlight of the CD: the Love Duet from Clemenza di Tito with Elina Garanca and Anna Netrebko. The voices fit perfectly to each other - one of the most beautiful love duets in the opera repertoire, offered to die for. Whoever does not pass with emotion is your own fault!

A collection of short, catchy, own numbers, a beautiful, poignant, rousing than the next - for me this album works almost like a pop CD, and thus shows again the inexhaustible potential of Mozart's music.
