Popa Happy Birthday!

I'M Feelin 'Lucky (CD)

Customer Review

With this "I'm feelin 'lucky' good old Popa celebrates 25 years of good and (almost) loyal service. I say almost because there was a time (Gone thank you god) where we almost die of indigestion as our man became talkative ..... So this new album continues the momentum that began with his previous recordings, to have we have here a blues-rock classical style but certainly remarkably interprété.10 titles, and only once, the classic "Rollin 'and Tumblin'". Two very good duo, the first "Rock on Bluesman", an epic and powerful title with the Texan Mike Zito takes out fabulous chorus and "Come to me" where Dana Fuchs just ask her very Joplinienne voice.

For the rest Popa Chubby gratifies us soli feverish and effective, its good gravelly voice and a group (bass, drums, keyboards), which ensures it right. And as so aptly Popa "Play this loud for best results!"

PS: the second cd is only a very limited interest, recordings of the 80s, under the name Ted Horowitz, Chubby era before then!
