Hardcore Jazz Killer!

Ben Weinman brings the fifth DEP album in 16 years at the start. One of us is the killer is again a DEP Kracher, hoarse roar staccato guitars and endless Rhytmuswechsel, as always, but have Weinman and Co. since Ire Works later than yet another page. Good eingepflegte melodies that are buried not only the angry sound of their omnipresent chaos. Prancer seems almost groovy over long distances. The When I lost my bet, provided with video, however, is again very classic DEP confused and noisy.
Then comes the big break of one is the killer is a rock ballad, Greg Puciato is here clearly at the center and the chaos indicated at little more. Hero of the Soveit Union begins as brutal as confused, but comes after a few moments in a song structure ehrer set on, the pace is suddenly significantly removed and the song seems like a good mid-tempo hardcore number. Nothing Funny, then sounds like a sound the DEP had fought with Ire Works by itself, jazzy groovy hardcore who has something of Black Bubblegum. The case with a well placed Lyrics and again Puciato at its best, a few Fast-paced change, including, I have to remember inevitably that Mr. Bungle and John Zorn well as so often are here at DEP Pate.
Understanding Decay proposes in a similar direction as Hero of the Soveit Union. Paranoia Shields is an angry hurried noise rock number that probably switched on Duane Denison sometimes. 375 289 277 is, apart from a few voice samples, a massive instrumental number. Magic did i did held prisoner is again classical DEP Sound. Cross Burner is my personal album highlight, a tempo and mood changes following the next, played and timbered terrific. The Threat possed by nuclear comes again with the back and forth between therefore quietly menacing and angry hastily aggressive passages and is once again a blast at the end of the album.
Total DEP remain their line, if one can speak of something at all, since Ire Works faithful. The usual Mathcore gefrickel is, since significantly enriched with melodies and rock song structures and the band indulges now and the luxury of a full songs in clear Sturktur itself. Stand out here again very groovy songs, a few have of Dennen DEP directly in the luggage.
A good The Dillinger Escape Plan album better than the last, but not quite as good as Ire Works, but those are nuances in the cosmos a band of which I know me not a bad release.

On the Limited Edition, there are also two remixes, one of the killer and one of nothing funny. One of us is the killer is almost Electronic and Nine Inch Nails-like. Nothings Funny contrast gets clearer and breaks something leiderndes in the guitar, the song seems somehow gloomy.
The Umpackfolie adorns a nice DEP sticker and PappschubCover has a Rubbellosfunktion. Cute Gimicks but not really necessary. The artwork is simple for DEP ratios, lyrics album information etc. need not decode it.
