When I opened the packaging I also thought the same, that the smell but occurs very familiar to me. It smells just like Almased and how I experienced after the first drink is whip there is no significant flavor difference. Speaking of taste: Many say it tastes horrible, I, however, think it is actually quite tasty. But ultimately, the matter of taste and even if you do not like it is no torment to drink it. The basic taste of the drink is not very intense and an aftertaste, it does not leave also.
I would say it is ultimately a matter of personal preference whether one accesses Almased or Yokebe. What I have observed so far, both online and in the drugstore, is Yokebe often 2 or 3 Euro cheaper than an equally large pack Almased. This is currently the only recognizable but for me the difference.
A few words about the effect: Basically, I can only report positive things about this kind of drinks. I have my weight from 112 kg in 2013 reduced the period of Jan 2013 to about May 2013 (at 195 cm tall) to an optimum value for me of 96 kg. In that period, I have a day essentially replaces two meals with Almased and at the same time significantly throttled my carbohydrate intake. Every now and then I also went running, but rather rare. It was certainly good to move a little more, but a significant influence on my weight loss had little perquisites rather uncomfortable. I also have not completely eliminated carbohydrates but sweet drinks and sweets were from this point only once taboo and even potatoes, rice or noodles were no longer to be found on my diet so often. I tried to cancel quite ample at this stage my dinner and tidy gefuttert, however much fried vegetables, ham, scrambled eggs, steaks, salads, tuna etc. etc.
There was every now and then in between days, particularly for birthdays, Easter, etc. where I ate a little more, or even once again took sweet to me, or a piece of cake and ate so-called "Sautage" had. All in all it was but rarely the case and therefore there was, in the truest sense of the word, and not significant. Even if I had a day every 2 or 3 weeks time when I ate a lot more or have actually sinned I had been unable to find that this threw me back in any way in my weight loss efforts. But it must just be the declared exception.
Since 2013 I hold continuously and without much effort or to starve my weight. No longer very regularly but several times a week I just replaced one meal per day by Almased or currently Yokebe. When carbohydrates I'm just a little more cautious. I eat and am because of extreme carbohydrate-avoiders, but make sure these are rather rich in protein than carb clearly my meals in balance.
I think in the course of such a fundamental change in diet can products such as Almased or Yokebe be very helpful. One can go hungry without excessively using these products, the first few days are a bit strange but then it comes to lose relative weight fast. One can thus skipped meals and still take all the necessary nutrients and also reach a certain satiety.
