Who wants to quickly gain an overview, I recommend the title "what it is", "Sailing to Philadelphia", "Silvertown Blues" and "Speedway at Nazareth". The latter song should definitely be consulted on the whole, it turns into about 6 minutes of simple elements Country in a densely atmospheric sound experience. In "What it is" you need to fall in love with the song just a few bars.
Conclusion: "Sailing to Philadelphia" is an album that you can listen to again and again - the songs are simply never intrusive. I personally skip "The Last Laugh" because I really over next find the voice of Van Morrison. The complete album gets to me but nevertheless the Topwertung because the other songs are for compromising too good!
