Now with such a good sound system, I wanted to finally hear the difference between onboard and an X-Fi sound card.
Though I was initially skeptical that the difference would be so great, I have the money to invest - and well worth it.
What does this sound card, does not OnBoard solution!
The sound, whether music, movie, game or whatever, comes always crystal clear for all the right boxes and never let doubt the purchase of this card.
The driver provides seemingly endless adjustment possibilities, which are still arranged beautifully clear and understandable. Is Once everything is set (distance of each speaker to the listener, the volume of all speakers, bass volume, etc.) can be the sound simply no longer complain about!
With music, the sound is automatically transferred to the surround speakers so that an all-round music pleasure arises which is impressive - I have never heard music so beautiful!
In films, DVDs and further the sound is crystal clear verteielt the boxes and everything is where it should be!
For games, the driver has an extra "game mode" that offers some more settings, but also in the normal "Multimedia Mode". Every shot from all sides can be localized perfectly by ear and also to "Boom" there is no no way!
The only drawback: The PCI Express connection! This is my motherboard very close to the graphics card, so that the warmth of this Staut. For graphics cards with large fans you have to be careful here! That could be close!
Conclusion: If you want to have really good sound can not avoid an X-Fi sound card! I am more than satisfied with this card, only the PCI-E slot provides some space problems on the graphics card!
In combination with a good sound system, the card is not to be beat!
