When I think 1.6er 16V Golf 4 bought with 105 hp 6 years ago by the previous owner hung a howler bag underneath. Sportauspuff I do not call this part. The part was loud, sounded shit and when he has dropped me 2 month later on his way to work, I was not sad drum.
Then had me be installed in the workshop a new normal exhaust system.
In the 6 years, this has fairly recently suffered and the sound of my Gulf changed dramatically. The silencer was no longer connected to the rest of the system - rusted through.
Since the middle silencer was eaten badly, so it was time to renew the facility. Only this time I wanted to make it as a total layman himself.
So looked at Amazon for the right parts, a video on Youtube picked out as one of golf 4 exhaust system changes and on what we need to pay attention.
Today all parts arrived. The Novus Sport Exhaust came in a big long, very sturdy box, which was sealed with copper brackets. Even the packaging pointed to the high-quality interior.
The muffler itself was wrapped in thick plastic and it took some effort to free him from it.
Assembly parts 4 clamps and 2 adapters were there, no gum! Would have been nice if the manufacturer had grabbed the gums with it.
After unpacking the I went into the next "Do it yourself" workshop and have since then losgelegt.
The biggest obstacle was the old plant to dismantle without the sometimes important screws tear, rust remover helps wonders here!
The installation went without a hitch, it all fit perfectly. The new center muffler has been connected to the Novus Sport Exhaust with the two adapter pieces, all previously sealed nicely with FireGum and after these things were done, screwed.
After 1 1/2 hours (as a layman!) I was ready and I was able to let down the lift.
The first visual impression was - "Oh **** k, the part is Monster!". The Novus N 2x90 is really huge. 2 big stovepipes protrude below the rear bumper.
The next thought was, "Ok, he is visually damn pretentious therefore, please let then also the sound to be reasonable."
Boarded, turned the key and quite scared. It sounds as if I had a bear lying back under the car.
Direct it followed the broad grin.
The sound is simply great. It sounds nothing tinny or simply tuned only on abnormal volume, but it is a really deep fucking evil drone.
I fear even that will increase my fuel consumption in the near future because it's fun to give to the sound of gas!
Of course I can not say anything, I'll get to a suitable occasion in the future about the durability.
