I now want to experiment a great deal with the Raspberry Pi 2, I have put on the aspect of accessibility of the GPIO pins in the choice of housing a lot more focus. I want, for example fast different sensors or other hardware can be connected to the Rpi, without the need to disassemble everything first.
But visually I find the coupe very chic. I've often toyed with the Pibow housings because suits my style. Does not look so cheap like 80% of the usual Rpi housing, makes a durable impression and leaves a an unobstructed view of the PCB of the RPI.
The assembly of the housing turned out to be very easy. Only the removal of the protective films of the individual layers was a bit annoying, but that one has quickly behind him. On each plate a registration number, after which you should present this one above the other. Then just run the plastic screw through the existing holes and secure with the plastic nuts. The screws also serve as feet.
The great advantage of this housing is then that it is very compact, everything is accessible and even the numbers and volts or GND values are shown at the GPIO pins. Ideal for frequent prototyping.
Conclusion: In my opinion, you should select the housing depending on the application. If you want a lot of experimenting and the GPIO pins used frequently, the coupe is simply awesome. However, you lose by the compact dimensions and the possibility of coolant how to install an active fan or passive cooling fins. In this respect, the case is less for applications in continuous operation or continuous load. For a home server or eventual so I would not buy this case necessarily.
