I was not sure how much I'd really like this type Photography and therefore glad to track an affordable product. The more surprised I was that despite the moderate price I could not tell the difference in quality to an almost three times more expensive competitor in comparison shots. A slight color shift shows up, but even less than the expensive competitors and with image editing very simple correctable. In the slim version also vignetting is not an issue.
In meantime I got the taste of long exposures. For many situations the ND1000 (10 filter stages darkening) is the right filter, in other cases, however, rather too strong, so that an addition to a ND64 (6 filter stages) is recommended. Who has not, for the is certainly the set with ND8 (3 levels), ND64 and ND1000 recommended.
I tested the way also a Vario-ND filter. However, I was not really warm so. Handling (ähnich of a polarizing filter) is undoubtedly more convenient. However, the darkening runs by no means linear, so that in the area of the largest darkening the slightest twist already accounts for 1-2 filter stages, what the exact setting can be the puzzle. In addition, the outer part of the filter has a larger diameter, which, although contrary holds the vignetting, but makes it impossible to mount the sunvisor. Finally, it came with a colleague in certain cases (presumably with moisture) to spotting. So all the reasons to stay at the ND filters with fixed Abdunkelungswerten.
