The previously built a cooler Cooler Master Hyper TX was no longer sufficient in the cooling.
The CPU temperature was in idle mode even at 60 to almost 70 degrees.
Under full load (COD4, BF3) I then had some time often blue screens and the computer had rebooted.
A clear case of overheating. A new had to be found ...
The Arctic Freezer 13 CPU Cooler CO I reach at full load a temperature well below 50 degrees. Top!
The installation on my Asus P5 Deluxe Board made a few problems,
because the copper fin coolers for chipsets besides the processor socket in the way were the side directly to attach the fan.
After some fumbling (base clamps had come loose again) has then still "click" made and the fan was stuck on the heat sink.
If the heatsink was only 1mm wider, I would have to change it again. Again lucky on Friday the 13.01.2012)
Conclusion: The cooler is very quiet, even under full load the noise level is still very low.
The heat sink is only lukewarm, which made me quite surprised at the heat.
The good thing about the cooler is that he has only 130mm height and thus perfectly fits into Zalman HD 160 HTPC case.
I'm very happy, my current system will hopefully bring even "enough" performance for the next 2 years.
Conclusion: Cheap, high-top. Definitely a Buying tip.
Oh yes: Made in Switzerland :)
