Empire (Audio CD)

Customer Review

1988 had the Seattle combo Queensryche with the classic "Operation: Mindcrime" and the accompanying MTV hit "Eyes of a Stranger" attracted attention, 2 years later you had to then prove that the mega-success was not a slip.
Empire goes directly to the starting line with "Best I Can", a beautiful rock number as Track 2, "The Thin Line", typical Queensryche is catchy and yet varied. The first two tracks like is made on more, and then comes the same: "Jet City Woman", one of the classics of the band.
With "Della Brown" then is a song it has fitted more on "Promised Land" by Arrangement ago, he was very quiet, not to mention acts lengthy. The changes but then abruptly, because with "Another Rainy Night (Without You)" and the title track "Empire" rock the first two single compilations taken this powerful CD away, earwigs how they hewutzutage unfortunately sorely missed.
In "Resistance" Queensryche is then multiplied by the actual reputation as a metal band justice and remembers of "The Warning" time, resulting in a very fresh, guitar-based tracks. The subsequent song is in my opinion one of the best rock / metal ballads: When "Silent Lucidity" the quiet guitar with orchestral samples caused underlaid and the voice of Goldkehlchen Geoff Tate goosebumps when listening, also this track was a single release.
