This hole saw I've bought about 20 halogen lamps in our new bedroom ceiling (plastic-coated MDF panels) involved. That a drill shaft with receiving and centering not included was known to me and that's why I ordered this material in addition. The delivery took place - as one would otherwise expect from Amazon - very quickly.
With the quality of RUKO bi-metal hole saw, I am very happy for my application. When correctly installed on the holder, the saw is running smoothly around the teeth and grab the average to strong. Even after 20 successful sawed holes is not declining cutting capacity determine. Overall I am very pleased, therefore, from me it 5 stars.
Working with hole saws is quick and easy by hand, if you follow a few "rules".
Practical tips for using the Ruko Hole Saw:
1. Fix) saw attachment form fit at the recording of the holder. The double pin securing the holder must fully engage in the holes of the saw and the sliding securing ring must be fixed by placing the saw with the intended Arettierschraube.
2.) the center of the hole intended scribing and pierce from front to back with a thin drill (2.5 mm).
3.) Only deep initially sawing of the back of a few mm to avoid the risk of skidding when piercing the saw. In addition, the Sägekern dissolves so easily afterwards from the inner body.
5.) contact the workpiece and start the saw from the front (gently, so that the edges do not tear as possible) and the hole after sawing quickly pierce to the exit.
Basic (safety) notes:
- Rotational speed of the drill depending on Sägedurchmesser to about 750-1500 U / min. (note speed table of the manufacturer!) limit.
- Rather saw with too little than with too high speed, because otherwise the wood burns and the saw overheating.
- If the hole saw vibrates strongly or wobbles not saw, but necessarily identify and resolve the cause.
- Fix the workpiece always safe, so that it does not rotate (injury hazard). For large Sägedurchmessern high forces can act, that should not be underestimated.
- The first time (slow!) Sinking the saw into the workpiece, make sure that the machine is kept as vertical as possible.
- Sawing with feeling and not exercise too much pressure - rather let some more time.
- Ensure a uniform chip ejection. Does it smell burned added the hole with chips or speed / pressure is too high.
- The drill always good to hold! This is especially true when piercing of the bore through the workpiece.
- Cordless screwdriver in my experience only suitable for hole saws (too little power to low speed under load).
