As a long-established doctors fan and owner of the first solo album of Mr. Farin U. of Berlin (Berlin!) I've also "At the end of the Sun" brought on the same day of the show. Have the CD then let the evening while cooking run the way ... well, it is also more or less rushed past me, the only thing I noticed was that it was sometimes incredibly loud. the beginning of "shower" I even found kind of annoying ... and I thought that was "finally vacation" probably definitely better ... now new cd rotates only Farina in my drive (runs on any PC, as "a matter of honor: without copy protection", as well as the back of the CD case announced) and I hardly hear anything else. what has happened in that time? Well, the urlaub'sche alone production has the same "perfect" as the last doctors album "noise": they just have to have heard several times before one really merges into hearing and blood. only then can you the true strength to recognize the power of the individual songs, their embassies and the urlaub'schen textual geniuses. certainly - "Holidays at last" worked through intro and outro a little round, it had a beginning, and a matching end. "At the end of the sun" rocky start with "more" and ends heavy with "shower". In general, "Holidays at last" more an album for happy souls, while its successor looks more thoughtful and a little gloomy. but thus poor Absolutely not! Both albums are difficult to compare for me. my conclusion: Anyone who has ever enjoyed Farina debut and at the doctors in his texts always a little more mitwippt which is well served even with his second solo album. You can expect every buyer a melodic maybe not quite as diverse poutporri like "Holidays at last," but you should not let this escape. and - "Shower" has become my earwig ... ;-)
