The installation went quick and the establishment of his hand. Here, the new Gigaset Tutorials prove very helpful.
The system components included to make a quality impression and function since commissioning without any failures. By down / rear-run power and network cables, the very light base (plastic) is to be a little unstable.
The apps and the web interface is easy for me to understand and operate. Of course there is still room to improve the software, to define the behavior for each sensor accurately (eg moving messages on / off, set time periods for up to combined actions: when I come home at night (Homecoming), then the light goes on and the coffee :-)) With the development of additional sensors (in September to a camera to come) Hopefully this will happen. It is also conceivable that in future cross-system software (such as the planned software platform "HomeKit" by Apple in iOS 8) drives the home automation and makes it possible to link different components from different manufacturers with one another.
Be considered one of the relatively short time that this system is in the market, but a number of improvements have already been implemented, which provide a stable performance and reliability. The first of the Base and the sensors call for "updates", I do not see it as negative. Instead, this is a sign that the manufacturer takes care of the product and continuously developed. The nowadays many products only at the customer's tires is therefore nothing new. I can live with that as long as the manufacturer stoking promptly.
I'm going to still indulge in any case a few windows sensors to complete the home monitoring. The future will then show whether Gigaset can establish successful on the market with this system.
Otherwise, I agree with many reviews to find that this is not a professional and independent alarm (but not advertised as such). Due to the design of the connections may lead to failures by server and power failure or Internet problems thoroughly. Who informed accordingly before buying, will be aware of this.
All is good, for now.
