I share with you my experience with the model without Blu Ray player. I recently bought a Philips TV 48PFS6609 and wanted to complete it with a pregnant / sound bar entry. Very satisfied with my LCD screen, I oriented my choice to the same brand and was looking primarily two things: an HDMI ARC compatibility and a price below 200. At about 169, HDMI cable included, this device is THE bargain. The black case is very elegant: he sits under the TV 48 ", which he serves as a base Connectivity is extensive. HDMI, USB, AUX-IN, Bluetooth, Optical, RCA's all there and that price, it is still quite rare. A remote control is included and is almost unavoidable because only the source selection and volume control can be operated from the housing. I come to the main feature, namely the sound quality. Lacking a true subwoofer enclosure account on a small boomer which, because of its location, is oriented downwards. Once installed on a cabinet, the enclosure is therefore especially appeal to the speaker on the front on sound reproduction. Unfortunately, no spatiality: it is far from a 2.1 sound even if the effect obtained with a television is more than correct. The goal is not to have the unpleasant sensation of a sound coming from the rear of the position. In the face of the speaker positioning and mounting the volume, we can speak of an acceptable quality. For a lower price than a portable speaker is still not bad, hence the 3 stars that I attribute to the product. Bluetooth Note that the result seems more convincing to me, probably all depends on the source. I can use the Bluetooth connection to a smartphone or a computer, especially for streaming music sites and it's really not bad. I had some problems with the HDMI ARC connection: he had always switch off and on the soundbar to the TV recognizes it. After a call to the Philips Support, I quickly received a USB key containing up-to-date product. Since then, it works perfectly: a latency of about 15 seconds, however recognized in the ignition. Namely, I turn on the TV, the speaker practically on together, all alone with EasyLink. Then another 10 seconds without sound at all, before the TV displays "activated ARC Mode". It is not very fluid anyway! For two products of the manufacturer, compatibility could have been better. Fortunately, then the TV remote control can control the volume of the speaker: it's very convenient. In summary, the comments that speak of a quasi-magical enclosure, worthy of a hi-fi system, are widely exaggerated. It is worthy of any Bluetooth speaker but prettier to look at and convenient to integrate with its flat screen.
