Hopefully remains FM!

I have purchased the tuner to also be my investment in the "enjoyment" of more choice in the transmitters. But what I then got on DAB + listening to was frankly disappointing: (! Radio BOB in the nationwide MUX) Dreadful compression artifacts and dull sound with my favorite channels - no wonder with just 72kbit / s AAC. If that's the future of radio ...
Other stations on the other hand the sound much better with 112kbit / s and 120kbit / s AAC Send. This should be in my opinion, the minimum rate for DAB +. Anything else would be a step backwards compared with FM.
Since I live in Hessen I can all receive paths of Radio BOB! Compare. And since at least the internet receiver with 128kbit / s mp3 with the quality on FM is comparable.

But the radio itself:
Pros and cons were indeed called already in other reviews. This I would add my own impressions.
1. Absolutely not bedrooms proof; the backlight illuminates the whole room even in the dimmed state. Thus the tuner as an alarm clock and sleep aid is absolutely inappropriate.
2. Unfortunately, both the main unit itself has no direct selection buttons for each 10 station memory. The there is only on the remote control.
3. The transmitter of pre-assigned selection buttons on the remote (Kids, Sports, News ...) are completely out of date and can not change (90elf there are long gone).
To be 4. The large knob on the device would be better used for tuning rather than for volume control (which are already finally the amplifier).
5. With regard to the wire antenna: I will - if possible - be replaced by a coax chassis connector I have already ordered me.

Otherwise, I am satisfied with the device. For the price I did not expect.
