how could that happen ???

That was my first thought after the first run of Misery Escape ... The last album I was their debut album was really good from the guys. After the successor to that time for my taste not thrilling enough turned out and there were at every corner metalcore bands that almost all sounded the same, I had the least of the genre for a few years said more than enough. So I have then also the other albums of The Sorrow that have appeared in the meantime, all unknown. While listening and the necessary quality of Misery Escape can therefore only ask how it could happen that I was able to lose this band here out of sight?

Misery Escape comes one during the first Songs not so extremely hard before. It is often the pace taken out of the songs and a lot of first-class melodies interwoven that ensure that get stuck in your ear the songs relatively quickly. What becomes immediately apparent is the greatly improved clean vocals, which thereby refines the melodic parts more anyway. It seems to me as if in front of the band at the end of the album aware again presses on the tube and raushaut some of the fastest, but also the best song of the entire album. I can discover on the entire album not a single weak track here is very large cinema offer. The whole culminates in (in my opinion) the best song on the album, namely "Follow the Lights". Quite honestly, the song rattles so quickly and brutally going it is a great joy. The entrance cry in song left me all hackles upright before & speed approaching in a mix of Groove, hardness on the slow chorus that puts everything into the shade what I have long heard of this area.

The Sorrow have evolved audibly, but in a good way. The own strengths were identified on the album here better, the song is now in the facets of a board, the songs are more melodic, yet still sometimes very hard, the breakdowns no longer so obvious places and the songs more coherent and better.

Now I'm going to set the same times every older albums. Absolute buy recommendation!
