Since I have been part 1 here, I can proclaim only the following:
This series originally started out as a "Survival Horror" and up to 5 part this was operated as a "Survival Horror" on.
Part 5 has only individual moments of this genre. For me it's an action-adventure. While Part 1 nor taught creeps me by Evocative music, shock effects, because suddenly undead dogs came jumped through the window and I was afraid at every loading screen when the camera is slowly approached the door and this was then opened squeaky. ... The missing everything.
Even the shuffling perfumed by the undead I lack. At that time, the camera was still firmly placed. Thus, you could hear his opponent though, but not see. This has driven up in me at the time the adrenaline.
But the horror is gone, the horror is gone .... the zombies are gone. While the zombies were missing already in Part 4, but there was still at least something like atmosphere. Now you are in sunny Africa go to place any freaks. I wonder also how far Capcom wants this story to "Umbrella" drive yet. There are constant, somewhere in the world, an evolution from the "T-Virus" from the first part of the back whole new creatures emerge.
Of course, it was nice to be able to the good old Chris Redfield control again, who has been missing for 10 years and only briefly at the end of "Code: Veronica X" was again playable. But there could have been a little more reinbringen of Part 1 by more dialogues and feel. So that you occasionally get the feeling: "Yes, so it was like." A few sensible nostalgic moments would not hurt the game.
This part has no atmosphere, but is just action-heavy.
Optical shines the title. But this is now about all that can be expected. I have a feeling that one puts more emphasis nowadays on optics, as on everything else. The controller is also very ... difficult.
It is generally safe not a bad game. But the title "Resident Evil" I hope something else. A bit of part 1 and a bit of part 4. I find that 2 parts have been the best. But that's just my humble opinion.
