Disappointed in this item that is not in the collection in general. The author is passionate about the cause, no doubt, but there is no need to repeat n times the same cliches over the chapters. The part (in my opinion too many or too large) on building a RepRap 3D printer brings more confusion than help. It oscillates between fashion ultra detailed instructions and general and gleefully jumps from one model to another instead of focusing seriously on a specific model (despite what the author says). it smells compilation hurry ... Rest the beginning of the book, about right to understand the context, to prepare for this revolution and understand the basic principles. But if you rely on this book to select a printer and start in the design of 3D objects, go your way! The section on 3D design, software to use and interface with the printer software itself is starving.
