So I have to say that I'm a big fan of Rent for years, but tell me this interpretation of songs only in a few cases. It was obvious that for an international film production all the songs to be a bit more adapted to the mainstream. Thus, more rock and some synthetic. But that was my opinion ziehmlich exaggerated here! The background music sounds like pure E-drums, keyboards and electric guitar, and the very clear where it actually naturalness (just the instruments) constitutes the charm of Rent. Vocally the songs were indeed mostly acceptable but interpreted with some actors you have more the feeling that it seems to have gegebnen no cause for interpretation (Sounds like time just therefore sung. I'm just fishing!) Have different contrast it as a bit exaggerated: pure brought many unnatural vibrato, Schlenker with the voice here and there .. has the impression that they wanted to be just as far distance from the original Broadway Recording and be individually .. Well, that's 'listen' my impression after a few hours ... Bin on the film but still excited!
