I'm in love with Travis.

Earlier Travis was the British who invited you to a hot cup of tea, gave you a sucker sweet peck on the cheek while inspired thoughtful words in his ear. And today they still are.

I like the music, the songs of The Boy With No Name, because they are so beautiful partly melancholic, partly wonderfully naive. I never need to look for any complication that there is no fact. I let myself go and wait for the chorus to be able to hum along.

When I hear the songs, such as "3 Times and You Lose" or "Closer", I have to always think in a small town and imagine I'm the Stassen along, look at the cute front porches and tell stories about the world, me or the people who live there. That always gives me a feeling of security. "Selfish Jean", accusing and ironically, "Big Chair" inviting, "New Amsterdam" autobiographical and the rest wonderfully melodic.

We need such music, we need to Britpop simply because it is so beautiful dreamy and uncomplicated. But especially from Travis because Travis, it may sound corny, do their music with a lot of warmth and conviction, for years, be put in the drawer of uninteresting Brit bands, but still continue with the same enthusiasm with which you started.
