For everyday and "banal" photos, where it does not depend so much on the quality but the quantity of this lens is quite ok - if the ambient light is bright enough. With a maximum aperture of f / 5.6 at 300mm it takes quite a lot of light to make do with a low ISO. But even that goes with the good price through yet.
I am an amateur photographer and am working a bit ambitious with the matter. I know God not a professional in the field, but let's call it "well incorporated".
I am not able to shoot unfortunately 100 percent, a sharp photo with this lens.
I've tried a variety of lighting conditions, high and low ISO value, short and slow shutter speed, a tripod and no tripod, autofocus and manual focus, short-range and objects farther away, short focal length and a long focal length ...
Unfortunately it was always the same result. The images were all not as sharp as I am used to from my other two lenses. As can be repaired with the relevant editing programs slightly.
Maybe I get a lens that is not at the factory conforms to the standards. However, to read some reviews that confirm my personal findings.
I want the lens does not Abwatschen into the ground, but for my needs, it has not been sufficient.
Probably my expectations were a bit higher than they should have been.
I'll send it back to Amazon, grab a little deeper into your wallet and buy the Nikon 55-300.
Pro and con:
+ Processing (robust and metal bayonet lock)
Closest focusing distance 0.95m + least
+ Price
- Blurry photos - in detail much fuzzier
- Loud motor autofocus
- Autofocus does not always unerringly
- Only separately sold Lens Case
For here and there to get something very close and ran a photo shoot -> absolutely fine
For detailed, semi-professional photos -> not suitable in my eyes
Therefore, I 3 stars for the Tamron. It is not übelst bad, but will not meet the demands of an amateur photographer.
There is simply not enough, that it makes a stable and high-quality impression - at the end the result counts - and unfortunately that was not good.

EDIT:
As a small addendum to my review I would like to add that I had with the original Nikon (AF-S DX Nikkor 55-300mm 1: 4.5-5.6 ED VR) am extremely satisfied.
Admittedly, it currently costs around two and a half times as much as the Tamron, but is well worth the extra cost me the world of difference. Even if you can not cope with the photo quality partout, or you are not satisfied for any reason the Tamron, then I can recommend with a clear conscience the Nikon warmly.
Have fun taking pictures !!
