and softwood such as spruce that can work quite well, but with hardwoods (ash, birch) sees things unfortunately completely different. I use a large Hark stove with a good supply to the fireplace and the corresponding train, but only with hardwood. And since is a disadvantage of the "boards" - they do not burn long and hard enough to ignite the hardwood. So one gets the fire, no question, but it really takes a lot of the kindling, until the thing finally blows reliably. The delivery is fast and the wood is neatly stacked / packed for customers. If it were only for delivery and packaging, would smooth the 5 star. But it's not just about packaging and delivery I have jokingly tried loading a softwood. Since heat and burning time have passed wonderfully; no problem. For the lighting of very hard wood (which has a significant longer focal length - that's why I prefer it, too) but you need a lot more of the kindling. Much more. From a network so you get 6-8 "burning fireplaces". And that seems a little bit to me. Again - who fired his fireplace with softwood, should have no problems. Who uses hardwood, well cope with larger logs. That is what "classic" kindling.
Edit:
Who criticizes, should be honest and objective enough to admit it when his / changed her mind. And that is now the case with me. I had originally only awarded three stars and described very clearly why. Now I have - following my own recommendation - changed the "Anzündprocedere". First, a layer softwood (instead of previously always equal to the hardwood), fireplace lighter and it then the wood strips. Works wonderfully and the softwood takes fire on fast. Conclusion: A good bed of embers, where the hardwood then burns wonderful. So I take my three-star review back happy and forgiving five stars. Perhaps the tip helps yes more users working with hardwood, who knows: o)
