It is neither an oil, another fat, but (something in between) more of a white slime. So stay where it belongs (at the lubrication point), but nonetheless able to crawl into crevices. Is hard to describe, who has used the stuff times, know what I mean! The lubricating effect in any case is very good, in my subjective view.
