I have, since January 2014, the Moto G 16GB of the first version. In the meantime destroyed by a terrace fall, a Moto G was acquired immediately. Then came the new "big" Moto G out, that should make up the compromising of smaller Moto G's: Dual Sim, SD card, bigger screen. And exactly when larger display is the hook for me. Anyone familiar with the Moto G's 4.5 inches, is aware of the crisp resolution. Who then is a 5 inch Moto G has in his hand, will notice that the display has lost its sharpness. Symbols, letters and characters seem slightly out of focus. For Motorola has indeed increased the display, but not the number of pixels. Thus, the pixel density has decreased, which manifests itself at least for me disturbing. A second shortcoming in the 5 inch display is that the cell phone for me is no longer operable with one hand. At 4.5 inch display that went. But a mobile phone for the entire display is no longer sufficient (I do not have small hands!).
These two shortcomings have led me to the Moto G 2nd return again. As I said, these are my personal impressions, I stay still with my 4.5 inch Moto G.
Also, there are of me 5 stars, because Motorola makes next to his Moto X E and also the G everything right and shows the other times where the rubber meets the road. The Moto G 2nd is as stretched 4.5 inches Moto G a top unit, enhanced by the long lost features dual SIM and Micro-SD. Just a bit big for me.
