Since the evaluation of cschoene I am disturbed, I have at Schwanthaler Computer ordered after I asked if this OEM goods and sell them informed me that you do not sell OEM goods and I had 2 years warranty. The delivery time was really ordered Top, Friday and not a day later, the hard drive was there. Unfortunately turned out at the guarantee check at Western Digital out which is the delivered hard drive "Out of Region", ie in Germany, I have no guarantee, snacked a bit and then I found out that the true guarantee of China - Great!
A message sent to Schwanthaler computer as this may be, was communicated to me that I've got 2-year warranty on them. After I wrote then that I would rather like to turn to Western Digital when what is to me a return receipt was sent in response. So you can also make customer service.
Immediately after the warranty check (11/08/2014) I have turned me to Western Digital and on 17.11.2014 the guarantee on Germany has been transferred.
How To:
1. Search at Google for "Western Digital Warranty"
2. If "WD Support / Warranty & RMA Services" link (the first hit should be)
3. Lower right click "Email Support"
4. Click "Join Now" button to register
5. Log on to the "Email Support" page (email and password) if you are not yet logged in.
