Unfortunately, the excellent recorder qualities are not entirely transferable to the built-in satellite receiver part. When recording with the built receiver part I had to repeatedly report marked "box formations". For this reason, I have already completed several tests in which I Paralellaufnahmen with my second DVD recorder, which was converted the satellite signals over a Technisat Digit MF4-S Plus Receiver performed. These test shots, there was always only one winner: My good old Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-EX85 with the signal source from the Technisat receivers. With this combination, no error occurred in the form of the "box" on.
If you can live with this (relatively rarely occurring) errors, then the DMR-EX72 brings but certainly with greater advantages over the aforementioned combination. A programming of certain shipments, thanks to the built-in TV Guide system really easy (but you should be programmed at the specified end time is always something "air" with it - this is really very simple - in order to take into account program delays or unpredictable time shifts rearward can) and also for manual ignorant easily comprehensible.
After also the value for money can be described as very good, the unit deserves five stars. For perfectionists who do not necessarily have to look at every penny, the consideration to a combination Excelent Satellite Receiver / Panasonic DVD recorder (eg DMR-EH 595/695) would be considered.
Overall, the device is really highly recommended.
