As our old Rowenta has after decades of faithful service finally passed away we were left with no choice: We need a new toaster.
Send it should be, qualitatively equal to its predecessor, but above all safe: We have a toddler at home.
It would be nice also if he is not so great. And a sensible tanning result would also be desirable.
All these features should also be affordable.
No unusual requirements So that should be feasible yet.
We thought.
So starting with Amazon times the toaster nearly 1,000 offered to study.
Since there are numerous very chic models, much fancier than the Siemens Toaster. Unfortunately, not all models meet almost all the criteria:
A housing that you can no longer handle without burning yourself? KO criterion for a child resistant household.
Others fell on widerrum by higher than average default rates. Still others apparently dünsteten of delicious smells - very trustworthy so close to a food.
Also even browning results do not seem to be so easy reach, without having to constantly have to readjust governor.
From some problems you will be surprised: It is almost impossible that could be an attachment for rolls are missing or a cable with only 0.5 m may be too short for a listing on the breakfast table?
And so you fight through the jungle of offers, click repeatedly on the same device, because you certainly do not know what problem this device had again.
BTW: A note for Amazon: Would be nice if you could let hide some products also. ;)
But finally we ended up at Siemens TT3A0103. Good, the unit was not as fancy as many other devices, but exposing we did not really something.
So we dared and bought this - and were lucky that fits!
When unpacking first skepticism: The toaster is really quite large. After all, it fits in our drawer. => Check.
Odors? No, nothing unangehmes determine. Repeated heating at the beginning produce no escape generating odors. Fits! => Check.
Now the most important question: How hot is the device? Even after 3 ends again bring toast operations (more one makes quite normal not) the device remains easily touchable! Excellent, so should be! => Check.
And as is the tanning result? Well, certainly not perfect, but for us perfectly fine. Below it is a little brighter than the top - as it is also know that just from almost any other toaster. However, I notice any differences between the toast rounds as it was to read in some other product. Thus, a re-adjustment is not necessary. => Check.
For me, though not decisive, but some customers on value seem to lay: The toast slots are considerably larger than our old toaster. I have not measured it, but beware of the size as safe Sandwich toast pure. And especially in the strength go because theoretically almost 3 normal slices of toast at the same time pure - no idea if someone makes something / like. ;)
The toast slices are then clamped with which they are held centrally in the toast tray. That surely also contributes to the fairly good tan.
Lastly remain cable length and quality. The cable has fallen again, not really long. I'm going to re-measure and grudge when Glegenheit yet, but it is likely to be somewhere from 0.7 to 1 meter. (Edit: The cable has a length of about 90 cm)
For durability, I can certainly say anything - and I hope that I do not have even a few years. In about 3 months now but so far he does a good figure.
In sum, it was the right decision to buy - if the member holds now also permanently what it promises. :)
UPDATE:
A small correction I need to install. I wrote at the time, I would be able to detect any differences between the toast rounds. It may be that the time was so, maybe I'm not really respected it. Anyway, there is already a small difference. The first passage is dark and with each other are the toast results slightly lighter. Then cools the appliance it is again darker. Who wants a consistent result that would have to readjust some.
I for my part can still live with it and stay with 5 stars!
