Missing disk storage space and have an old computer to the mini-tower format (3 windows), I decided to buy this backplane and equip 5 2TB SATA drives.
I mounted a HighPoint RocketRAID 2680SGL controller and put the disks in RAID5.

CONCLUSION:
8 TB of storage, excellent reliability, ultra-fast network access. Manageability through Windows (even XP is required). (After the NAS, what difference). And all at low prices.
I do not regret my choice.

Warning about the reliability after two and a half years:
The cooling fans are not of great quality and seizing after two years without no alarm points out.
The suite is inevitable: overheated hard drives, destruction surfchauffe the central disk.
