Missing disk storage space and have an old computer to the mini-tower format (3 windows), I decided to buy this controller in combination with the backplane Lindy 21975 and equip 5 2TB SATA drives, mounted RAID5.

CONCLUSION:
8 TB of storage, excellent reliability, ultra-fast network access. Manageability through Windows (even XP is required). (After the NAS, what difference). And all at low prices.
I do not regret my choice.
