The adjustment of the mechanical switch is sometimes a bit too sluggish. Merely pulling or pushing the lever is not enough, the switch has to be held. On the one hand important so that the switch does not even moved. On the other hand, are "quick" -Verstellungen thus almost impossible. Uncontrolled "pressing" the switch leads to spontaneous track buckling ;-). This means that the position of the switch must be checked at an early stage, two seconds before Zugdurchfahrt might be too short - after some experience with the turnout, we can at our son find here an increased attention, he plans ahead. In our view educational side effect.
It is true - as noted already in another review - that driving the switch leads to the set direction for the derailment. If not equal to the locomotive from the track, this does at least the second Wagon (all practical experience).
Nevertheless, we believe that the mechanical switch for an important addition and we have another 4 pieces in the planning. At least our little path builder. Until Easter Brio is fully announced.
Many greetings
