Cover / Packing / Contents: Very simple, very unimaginative, reminiscent of the gray cover of the Sounds of the Universe. The box is produced in CD format instead of the traditional DVD format how it was used by the last box sets. The booklet is the first criticism, the pictures are very bad, blurry and look like photographs from an old cell phone. In between come a few hand-drawn pictures of the stage or the canvases. What Anton Corbijn was thinking?!? As is now well known to everyone, the box includes a booklet, a 5.1 Audio Bluray last album Delta Machine, a DVD from the Berlin concert, a DVD of the concert with interviews of all band members and their manager Jonathan Kessler and 2 Acoustic Live Songs (Condemnation and Judas) performs from Gordeno and Gore in a Berlin brothel. These 2 CDs with 21 live tracks from the entire Berlin concert.
DVD / Setlist: What is one to say?!?! It is inconceivable to me how one can produce on Bluray in 2014 a live concert of a world band like Depeche Mode not. Meanwhile, almost every person is likely to be reached in the HD age, the quality of a DVD on a large flat screen unfortunately bad. Since you also need to talk nothing nice and the fans to tell what of old feeling or other, here are Sony and Corbijn is a huge own goal shot what is at Facebook, fan forums and see also here can. The concert film has become great, the musicians are good and often shown, the video projections for the songs come across well and the sound (DD 5.1) is absolutely great. Dave Gahan had on this tour an absolutely clear and powerful voice, head and shoulders above even to Exciter times. The interviews are shown between each song in black / white and have specific questions / answers for the Tour, songs and memories of Berlin, etc. Unfortunately, the set list for the winter concert has been changed to negative by 3 songs we played less, it got off to a super Live Song (Soothe My Soul) and of course, Goodbye, Secret to the end and Barrel of a Gun. The one for X.ten times Behind the Wheel auskramte was it not understandable for everyone. After the band for this concert and the DVD Songs like Soothe My Soul and Goodbye played again. Martin L. Gore has often changes its setlist extreme, he played almost every night other songs which shall be mentioned positively, I think he played on this tour a total of 14 songs, why you have them packed only 2 on the bonus DVD I find very weak. Where would the problem have yet to play songs in 2.3 brothel, just songs like Slow or Higher Love were an integral part of the tour. In addition one could grab the other missing Dave songs on the bonus DVD, Barrel of a Gun Secret or to the End I miss here, or the little highlights like Soft Touch or John the Revelator have been played a few times. Ok bitched enough we come to the positive, songs like Halo or A Pain That I'm Used To have extremely changed on this tour. It Originated beautiful live versions by placing also live musicians as Gordeno times to the fore, I liked it very well. Otherwise, the setlist was as so often equipped with Depeche Mode with many classics, songs like I Feel You and Walking In My Shoes are well played on every tour. Enjoy the Silence, Never Let Me Down Again and Personal Jesus anyway ... this time came back Just Can not Get Enough to live what was still an absolute sentiment Shit.
Audio CD`S: Listen to my home theater system to properly and reflect the concert experience well again. More need to say about it ...
Bluray 5.1: The Delta Machine is in 5.1 nothing special. For who so long and these qualities they can not bang out already in March 2013 as a deluxe version as SOTU or PTA?!? The rear speakers and the sound gadgets are barely used, just that would have been super possible with this album. The End of My Little Universe sounds on 5.1 class but I think there would definitely have been possible in other songs, because the old records are made somehow better. Why is the whole then published on Bluray has the greatest bullshit this box, here a DVD would loose enough.
