In the email box are lined up neatly, 6 7 "panels with two of the songs on the album Every single vinyl disc is lovingly in a white Papiersleeve and -. As it should be - parked on a cardboard sleeve, the diagonal in the best retro styles with "Domino" logo is coated In addition there is a booklet which really deserves the name. It is a 24-page hardcover, the paper is not to be expected in a top quality and, as Franz Ferdinand, styled to the last detail. The fact that it puts the CD with the "Blood" -Remixen, I knew, but in addition is still a making-of DVD case and as icing on the cake there is the whole album again on CD !! Because really lacks only yet the download code ...;) And as if all this were not enough is also included even a rotated from an aluminum block (!!) "Tonight" -Puck, to the 7 "plates to the large center hole to make turntables tasty. So the box I can just say: Very much enthusiasm, that's for a special edition, worthy of the name !!
Short yet to comply with my reviewers-duty a few words now no longer quite dewy album "Tonight" is really a monster dub, it sounds almost for a concept album. That's sexy definitely, especially the cross-references like "No You Girls" vs. "Katherine kiss me", and it triggers in me a quite intense feeling a heady night, but it does not have the freshness of the debut or the size and elegance of "You could have it so much better". Nevertheless - "No You Girls" for example is one of the best Franz Ferdinand songs ever, "Ulysses" is ingeniously arranged and "Lucid Dreams" a truly fascinating monster. Most of the other songs do not have to hide, "Katherine Kiss Me" for example, the sags-romantic finale, which battered the Beat "What she came for" and "Twilight Omens", which is just as tricky winds like its really funny text.
Yes but - actually a really great album, but I'm not sure if it would have come with me without the box to its five stars. But in the face of this madness package I now have to get the question yes no longer deal. Who can afford to spend a few bucks for the beautiful bells and whistles, should necessarily strike! :)
