Truly deluxe! - 2112 (. Super Deluxe Edition including Comic Book + CD + Blu-ray)

2112 is the first typical Rush album, on which all the typical Rush Trademarks are represented for me. Here the best prog rock is offered on a half concept album which nevertheless is very catchy and seizes immediately in the ear canals of the listener.

The first half of the album is made up of 7 parts open story of a totalitarian society in the future, of a priestly caste (Priests of the Temples of Syrinx) dominated.
The second half consists of 5 unconnected songs that has spawned 2 real highlights ("Passage to Bangkok" and "Tears").
2112 is essential for both fans of the prog genre as well as for Rush fans and should these target groups be adequately known. Now what makes the added value of this full-bodied as "Super Deluxe Edition" version and praised above all justifies the bonus material the lover price?
The answer is clear: Yes!

The package includes:

- ("The Clone Wars" The Simpsons, among others Star Wars) containing a book, which on the one hand a 40-page comic by Tom Hodges, who tells the story, especially from 2112, but also takes into account the other album songs. On the other hand (turning the book easy to) can be found on 24 pages a lot of photos, new liner notes by David Fricke (senior editor at Rolling Stone) and all lyrics. Separately, the two parts by a sturdy cardboard box in which stuck the two discs.

The book makes a high-quality impression of the comic is drawn style. Especially when you look at the digital comic on disc and run the song to creates a very intense atmosphere. Contributing the truly fantastic DTS-HD Master Audio in track that can discover on a corresponding plant very many subtleties.

Even with precise and very critical view can be at this edition no blemish find. If only all the Super Deluxe Collector Special Editions similarly well prepared ...

That 2112 is a veritable gods album, is out of question. The high quality design and presentation leave the value however still rising!
