Gearbox now has produced for the past six years the SEGA newest beast, which builds directly on my Lieblingsfim: Aliens: The Return.
The result is called Aliens: Colonial Marines and is to bring it to the point, an absolute disaster.
Gearbox had orders to aliens in ages from SEGA: Colonial Marines to develop and in 2013 it was finally here. Unfortunately, it has been found that Gearbox had apparently emulate other than to A: CM to work and has rather put the money by SEGA in its own projects such as the new Borderlands.
The game was produced in truth of Time Gate Studios, who previously had only a very mediocre multiplayer shooter released. The development of the game was to deliver clearly a mistake of Gearbox, because the result is truly catastrophic.
The game is on a technical level, in which one feels transported back to 2 hours in blissful Half Life. Actually, I want to no longer say this has to be seen. Extremely vague or no textures, animations evil, a catastrophic AI teammates and so on and so forth.
As the worst I have personally experienced the German Synchrionisierung which represents a prime example of how not to do it. The speakers are absolutely unmotivated and bored and rattling off their lyrics really just shut. These dialogues are also rarely stupid and me Fremdschämen was actually throughout the day. How often I had a totally succeeded Weiles "Ooorrahh" endure I can not even count. "No Marine left behind" was also a perennial favorite and is moderately mantra preached up and down.
The game looked partly like a parody with set pieces of the Alien movies.
Bad was the "continuation" of the plot of the film, which I could have done without and which I consider as a fan of the movies simply times as non-existent for me. Without spoilers want to, I can say that fundamental parts of the film plot was twisted and bursting all just before logic errors and inconsistencies. The characters are totally implausible, which is also due to the bad location of course. Ripley is virtually no mention, Hicks is not visually recognizable and one wonders as fans rightly, what he has actually to be found in this game. That is more bad than good elucidated in the game, but let you surprise you (or not).

I can not recommend to anyone to buy or play this game, it's a shame for the Alien franchise and a slap in the face for every fan of the films. Gearbox and Sega have thus definitely done no favors.
