Many newcomers who have published an outstanding independent debut album beyond the mainstream, there is then unfortunately often the tendency towards commercialization in the following works. All corners and edges are then smoothed out frequently radio justice. But when Kate Nash hits the thank God not to. After their terrific debut album "Made of Bricks" has initiated a change of style in her second book "My Best Friend Is You", which I personally have really liked. And Kate is reliable! With their third longplayer she goes to the garage punk, the sound is mostly rough and unpolished, the texts have fallen markedly gloomier. The guitars sound so dirty as they just have to sound dirty in this music style. Does not guarantee radio compatible or capable charts! And that's good, I think, because this music is simply fully authentic. And like the others are still whining so loudly that no commercial hit for the charts is!
The album is all of a piece, all 15 pieces are of high quality, the album can listen very well in one piece. And played live can convince Kate fully with their new style of music, I can confirm that. It gives both you and the audience a hellish fun!
My Anspieltipps: Fri-end ?, absolutely amazing, stirring with a powerful groove, and Death Proof, Part Heart, Sister, Omygod !, All Talk, You're So Cool I'm So Freaky
