Downfall is an extra-ordinary book, an exceptional level of SF, an overflowing imagination but if 'real' at a time. This book is taking, and after having devoured Hyperion The Fall of Hyperion (and the other two volumes following) confirms my idea that the cycle of Hyperion is for me the best in SF. Dan Simmons is a genius inventiveness.
