With my old flyswatter I could kill fruit flies. Because of the current always flows through the central grid and the coarse outer grid is only to protect there. But it was wide enough for big flies.
This swatter here, I'll probably never meet a fly. Maybe one that has grown very long. On the outer package is strangely it also Mosquito racket and not swat or similar. Yes, with this I can already imagine the rather get this directly between the outer and inner grid. But my old, and surely many other electric fly swatters, can be used for all flying insects and not just exclusively Mosquitos or long grown insects.
Total bad buy. Maybe there are different versions of the same product name. Mine is blue and has also not ready as an insect in the center but just a circle.
My recommendation is to make sure that the outer grid so is breitmaschig enough even houseflies by loose fit, best just as linear rods. And the current must flow already when an insect touches the inner grid. And not that it has to simultaneously contact both the inner and outer grid - it works better than ever.
