Have the equipment purchased in December 2013 because I suffer from a mild hypertension (high blood pressure). First, the measurements were actually simple. And I measured 3 times the blood pressure daily. The unit determined always elevated levels especially the diastolic figure was, according to the device almost always between 100 - 130. When I went out on a correct measurement, I have my medication, adjusted in consultation with the family doctor. Through a random hospital stay I was very taken aback that the sisters have always measured normal blood pressure (130 to 80). Thereby become skeptical I have also measured with the BM 58 and the device determines again a value of for example 170 to 120 or 160 to 105. Over the course of a week I once measured with the BM 58 and once with an upper hot device and stethoscope. The Beurer BM 58 was always significantly higher values and also constantly different values, whereas the professional unit determined from the hospital even with repeated measurements always similar and significantly lower values. Because of the normal values of the hypertension medication (Ramipril) was deposed. Also 2 weeks of discontinuation values were found within normal limits.
The installation of the software on a Windows 8.1 computer was very complicated. It really was only with the telephone support from Beurer. I have returned the device to Amazon and decided to use the Omron Elite Plus. Already the installation on the Windows computer worked from the very beginning. The measurements are compared with the results of the hospital equipment.
From years of experience I can recommend the Beurer BM 58 is not only and even warn against the use.
