The result is in my opinion a somewhat ambiguous affair. On the one hand an incredibly versatile disc is "The Dutchess" become that can incorporate a wide variety of musical genres. From hip-hop, pop on perfectly ordinary, to sensitive R'n'B, everything is represented here. The beats that are pumpern in the background there is anything but bad. About the vocal skills of Fergie one must probably lose no unnecessary words!
On the other hand me personally the catchiness missing. The spark that jumps on first hearing about. Or we will bring it to a common denominator - the catchy tune factor. The whole thing sounds like heard before and has no surprises. Although Fergie experimented on "The Dutchess" with many different influences, but can not convince about the entire season!
Maybe I'm the wrong person, because I otherwise not particularly abfahre on this kind of music. Came across only by my girlfriend on this album, and unfortunately have to say that it is nothing more than an average album for me, which you can listen to while confidently, which is nothing special!
From another perspective, is "The Dutchess" probably the album of the year 2007. I can in my view, unfortunately only awarded 3 stars!
