Unlike our Fritzbox 7390 the ALLNET modem synchronized very quickly with the high speed RAM 6000 (Annex-J) connection. The DSL jack on the unit is as RJ11 Executed why the supplied cable (RJ11 - TAE) must be used and possibly other plug does not fit, since they usually have an RJ45 connector, which is slightly wider than the RJ-11 jack.. So should probably be avoided, someone accidentally plugged the DSL cable into the LAN port, which also used RJ45 jacks.
Superfluous is the on / off switch, so as the power supply can not be switched off, it is always recommended to unplug the AC adapter or switch off by means of switchable socket, instead of using the switch on the modem!
Who is in fact only a single PC and EVT. Alternately even with a notebook on the Internet on the go, does not use IP telephony and therefore no router needs, for which there is no cheaper solution than DSL access. Likewise, the modem adds very good older router without Annex J capability, but which allow the operation of an external modem. For us, it is intended to serve as an emergency modem, if done by a thunderstorm or other our Fritzbox a disaster .... now you are unfortunately increasingly reliant on a functioning Internet access ... in our case, because of the associated IP telephony but also professionally and for private purchases, etc.
