Note .:
* Espresso powder)
Contrary to statements by other a finely ground coffee / espresso is quite usable. However, and this is easy to do with this rather passive vapor-Brühmethode together and also applies to Alessi, Bialetti & Co., one must not over- compress the Espresso. I use therefore generally no pusher and if, then only very slightly.
All Espressokocher this type produce namely only max. 1,5bar - hence no crema! So there is no espresso machine with 15 bar and more shoots the steam through the coffee.
* Cold coffee is cold coffee here :)
The Tip to keep coffee in the freezer to keep it fresh, is now widely known. But I leave the coffee room are warm before I him (and this is probably true for any / n machine / kettle) use!
* Prior to the first use!
As with a new Bialetti ... etc .: I cook the rubber from short to make the natural flavor is minimized, and then the unit. To this end, however, I use the cheapest coffee and leave after the initial cleaning First 5 x 30cl (6 cups) run through before the first coffee reaches the palate. IA I clean the pot inside only with hot water. Detergents (however mild) I suppose only when the patina to escaping oil :))) threatens.
