I'm surprised in this chorus of praise, to be alone in regretting the translation we offer the Pleiades. Amateur Austen in its original language for nearly thirty years, also collector of Pleiades, this edition was a must for me to buy upon its release. Goubert (Heart and Reason) and JP Pichardie (Pride and Prejudice) a stilted language Cold and flat at times, unnecessarily bombastic other, giving the impression of a false precious author - where the original is joyful and transparent, to the point of being accessible even to midinettes imperial (hence Pink water reputation that some believe him).
