The device is very inexpensive and does what it should. It checks for strength program sequence all 8 cores and additional shielding continuity. The program can optionally undergo fast or slow; the slower variant is preferable.

An error in a permanent wire, which I had previously searched with unsuitable means for two years, I had in 15 min. identified and corrected.

If you want to validate a permanently installed cable from can to can, then of course you still needed two CAT5 cable to connect the two devices. These cables should naturally be fine.

A simple but useful device that is worth the money!
