This relatively unknown new release is actually a sensation for the music lovers. Three outstanding voices of the Baroque scene sing arias with piccolo cello by JS Bach - for this program idea alone, there should be only three stars. It is regrettable that the voices do not come together to duets, but the advantage is that you can hear these outstanding vocal performance so even more clearly. About Sandrine Piau you really need nothing more to say - her floating-iridescent sound is fantastic for Bach, in particular, because it seems to have become a little softer and rounder in recent Jahrne. Christophe Dumaux 'Counter voice and vocals are always a pleasure, even though one would wish on some fast sections a little more precise intonation. Emiliano Gonzales Toro proves to be a lyric tenor with a beautiful timbre and great musicality - always a huge relief when a baroque tenor role entrusted to a singer who sings like Toro, Behle or Lehtipuu lyrically and in the Baroque style (ie roars neither screams nor but just sings). The wonderful ensemble is led by Ophélie Gaillard, who also plays the "small Cello" - both masterfully, lively and intelligent phrasing ung musiziert. The pronunciation of the singer is actually perfect, despite the not exactly easy or particularly sang union Bach-German; we understand every word.
