-> In order to boot from the newly created XP CD it is not enough because of the preinstalled FreeDOS to convert the boot order in the BIOS [F2]. Boots the notebook now of the newly created XP CD, so the operating system can be installed on the SATA disk. The setup will detect a partitioned hard drive. Depending on your mood you can delete both partitions and reconfigure as NTFS.
The notebook is very fast, once you have installed the XP drivers. For me, the automatic installation of the driver from the disc menu has been found to be defective, at some point, the installation process was just not on and has repeatedly forever. But you can search on the CD the installation folder and assign any problems, so that the manual installation requires only a few minutes.
The X51L-AP076D is under XP a really nifty part. The basic installation needs including the detour via the nLite installation CD an hour. Even with some programs under his belt, it runs faster than my old desktop PC, an Athlon 2600. Who undemanding graphics and battery life has (good 2.5h with dimmed display) and just a good workhorse would be well served here ,
