(++) || || The Beautiful optic inlays are well glued and the game makes a high impression. For the low price that is already a high Qualtät find me! (For me this is not moral, because I do not know for sure where and by whom the game was made, and do not want to speculate - but you already should have in mind!). I had no wooden parts with Asteinschlüssen and the wood fibers were all oriented in the same. The paint was applied uniformly. No gaps between the wooden parts ...
(++) || || Beautiful figures because there are just as with the appearance of the game in itself is not much to say. No sharp edges, cracks or ähnliches.Gleichmäßige colors and shapes. (Exceptions see below)
(+) || || Good workmanship On the whole the game is well made. There are exceptions in detail. But for the money you can not expect handiwork, but only mass-produced, the cost is put together abroad. The marquetry, wood paint etc. This is better than I would have expected for the money!
(O) || hinges, latches || So the rear folding hinges are of the cheapest version and unfortunately poorly incorporated. This is a place where needs to be adjusted by hand. And because of course the price is noticeable, since no time is spent. Although the front locks look acceptable, but can be opened quite uncomfortable. Something hakelig and unruly. Zuamel with me the box was cleared (see below).
(-) || Shabby, printed characters || The pictured numbers and signs are unfortunately manifests printed cheaply and destroy totally the good impression. If I keep the game, so I had sanded the game and repainted. But as it looks terrible. Since even a few stickers better would have preferred. A milling I do not expect ... but with a hot stamped characters viell. With inserted white paint would have been certainly more beautiful.
(-) || || Plastic inlay The inlay, which takes up the figures, is made of thin plastic. I think it will not splinter too fast, but nice is not it! Feels very cheap and does not fit the timber. Apparently there is a standard form that is used for various characters. The existing figures do not quite fit into the pure forms - this applies especially for the queen and the king.. Folding can be all but easily ... which probably has less to do the fit, as more on the fact that the form gives way. This "concession" also creates a very cheap impression! The inlay is green, fine flocked and makes a very velvety impression ... but in this respect inferior. Feels not good. By and large, however acceptable. The price of course I do not expect anything outstanding.
(-) || Worst - Case warped || One half of the game was glued wrong either crooked or warped the wood. The game could be completely folded with greater pressure and then sealed. The locks were then accordingly no longer close smoothly and it was to the outer sides a gap of about 1-2mm. Just about acceptable
(-) || Worst - plastic inlay loose || One half of the plastic inlays was no longer secured. No wonder - was stuck with two 5cm long hot glue strands. I suspect that the inlays will depart regularly after a certain time in this type of bonding. Here you will certainly need to reinforce the joints themselves.
(-) || Defect - Incorrect figures || The figures I have written above what. However, two of the figures were unfortunately flawed. She could not stand up straight, as existed under the glued felt pads something like a Holzgrat, or a non-abraded rest after working on the lathe (so a small nub halt). I would therefore remove or tear, grind the figure from below and the slider have to stick back the slider.
(-) || Glides / figures || The felt pads are also a very cheap quality in general. Very reminiscent of the inlay. Beautiful would be here slider, how to find them even in 1-euro shops to lower bonding under table and chair legs.
Conclusion
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The game itself would be passable if the quite quality impression would not be spoiled by the shabby imprint (which of course is ultimately a matter of taste. The shortcomings are certainly more common and occur over time. But are largely acceptable as unrecoverable or ignorable. The inappropriate inlay I find but just terrible, so I in the sum for a simpler version would have me to decide. What the wood look, if it is a spoiled in the end?
Without the defects the game would come with me to a good three stars.
